How Your Stone Arrives

Delivered by Our Haulage Partner

All stone deliveries are carried out by our third-party haulage partner — not by Easy Build Stone directly. This means we have less direct control over the delivery once it leaves our yard.

We can confirm your delivery day but we are unable to provide a specific time window. The lorry will arrive at some point during the day — please ensure someone is available throughout. If you have access requirements or any special circumstances, please contact us before ordering and we will pass these on to the haulier.

The Delivery Vehicle

Stone pallets are delivered by an 18-tonne lorry fitted with a tail lift and manual pump truck. There is no crane or hiab on board — the driver will lower the pallet to ground level using the tail lift and wheel it to kerbside on the pump truck.

This means the lorry needs room to park, lower its tail lift (approximately 3 metres behind the vehicle), and operate the pump truck on a flat, solid surface.

Kerbside Delivery

All deliveries are kerbside only. The driver will place the pallet at the nearest accessible point on level, hard-standing ground — this is typically the pavement, driveway entrance, or roadside.

You will need to arrange moving the pallet from kerbside to your final storage location.

Access Requirements

The lorry is a large vehicle. Before ordering, please check that your delivery address can accommodate it. Common access issues include:

• Low-hanging trees or overhead cables
• Narrow lanes, tight bends, or restricted streets
• Low bridges or height barriers
• Parking restrictions or resident-permit zones
• Road works or temporary closures

If the driver cannot access your address, a re-delivery charge will apply. If you are unsure, contact us before ordering and we can advise.

Delivery Schedule

Standard delivery is Monday to Friday. We will confirm your delivery day once your order has been dispatched. As delivery is carried out by a third-party haulier, we are unable to provide a specific time — please ensure someone is available throughout the day.

If nobody is available to sign, the delivery will be returned to the depot and a re-delivery charge will apply. Saturday and timed deliveries may be available at additional cost — contact us to arrange.

Storing Your Stone

Once delivered, store your stone correctly to avoid damage before installation:

• Keep pallets off the ground — raise them on timber bearers to prevent moisture wicking up from below
• Store under cover where possible — the pallet wrapping is not fully waterproof
• Adhesives and pointing mortar must be stored indoors in a cool, dry location away from frost
• Do not store adhesive outside — freezing temperatures will damage the product

Checking Your Delivery

Please inspect your pallet at the point of delivery before signing. If you notice any damage or shortage, note it on the driver's paperwork.

Any shortages or damaged goods must be reported to us within 48 hours of delivery. Claims made after this point cannot be accepted.

Lead Times

Most orders are dispatched within 3–5 working days. Lead times may be longer during peak periods or for large orders. You will be notified of your expected dispatch date after ordering.

Delivery Areas

We deliver to mainland UK as standard. Some remote or difficult-access postcodes in the Highlands, Islands, and parts of Wales may incur a surcharge or require a separate quote.

During checkout, your postcode is checked automatically. If your area has a restriction or surcharge, you will be notified before payment.
